Dr. Harris is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist in the State of New York. She has had extensive training in cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, and has in-depth experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations. She has provided individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults at an outpatient facility, and has worked in schools providing support to students with learning issues and behavioral challenges. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Rutgers University and her Psy.D. in School-Community Psychology from Hofstra University. Her dissertation focused on an empirically-supported, school-based gratitude curriculum and it’s effects on student’s school related behaviors. Dr. Harris has a significant amount of research experience, including working in various social-emotional research labs and has presented her research at national conferences.
